Converting this into WebGL was a real adventure, because it can only look good in the Linear colorspace, so if it looks dark and weird in your browser, that's because I had to use WebGL 2.0, sorry. You can always view the rain render effects in the attached video.

This project introduced me to custom shaders and how to use them, and I utilized the LUX shader system for my stormy weather, and applied the rain effect to my textures, and had to partially retexture my boat to do so. It was my first time working with shaders to this extent, which I would later use for other projects. This project also is what introduced me to SturdySpoon's boids, which I later used for the sheep! So I had to customize those to work with our various fish types. 

In the full game you catch fish in nets for points, and I believe there is a boss mode where you have to shoot a giant kraken rising from the sea with canons? Maybe that was scrapped, that sounds pretty elaborate.
